It is becoming clear that the NDP is enjoying a recent surge across the whole country and in a number of ridings here in Saskatchewan. Remember Mr. Layton whipped just enough of his members to ensure the vote on C-391 to scrap the long gun registry was defeated. We have also been told that the flip flop by NDP MP Peter Stoffer of Nova Scotia, a long time supporter of the firearm community, happened after the NDP convention was held here in Saskatchewan. In other words he was lobbied to flip flop right here in our province. And we know that Michael Ignatieff and the Liberals are promising "strict and unrelenting gun control."

We now stand at a crossroads and I am telling you that as firearm owners we will receive no support from the NDP or the Liberals.

NEVER WAS THERE A TIME WHEN IT WAS MORE IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF OUR SUPPORTERS TO GET OUT AND VOTE! EVERY VOTE WILL COUNT AND SOME RIDINGS WILL BE WON AND LOST ON A FEW VOTES. LITERALLY YOURS COULD BE THE DECIDING VOTE!

GET EVERY ONE YOU KNOW OUT TO VOTE EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DRIVE THEM YOURSELF!

On another note, we met with the Saskatchewan Justice Minister on April 18th. I can tell you that the meeting was a very positive one and they have reconfirmed that we are indeed an "opt out" province and they will be looking directly into any charges that are being laid against Saskatchewan people. So if you know anyone that is being charged under the firearms act I want to know about it to insure it gets followed up on.

Saskatchewan Justice has also agreed to set up a steering committee after the election where we hope we have achieved a Conservative majority so we can move forward with changes to the act with the full support of Saskatchewan Justice - all in all a good day!
